The workaround I have settled on is to use the debug alwaysdiplo, debug alwaysaddwargoal and yesmen cheats, however I have run into another problem - wargoal justification. Unfortunately it seems the cheats I have been able to find arent any better, only allowing the annexation of one province at a time, which would take forever. To mod jan mayen to be in control of everything would take a massive amount of time if I have to change each provinces history individually and events are outside of the range of my modding ability.
